4.1 System Functional Design of Guangzhou Metro Line 2 (1997-1998)

In order to carry out appropriately the preliminary research work of Guangzhou Metro line 2, the optimization of technical scheme was put in the first place from the very beginning. The client entrusted SYSTRA to carry out the system function design, and to propose the best equipment configuration scheme based on the functional needs and operation needs.

4.2 Preliminary Design of Test section for the U-shaped Viaduct of Guangzhou Metro (1998-1999)

The U-shaped viaduct is the result of a special study by SYSTRA. Since U - shaped viaduct has the characteristics of anti - noise, anti - derailment, low cost and beautiful appearance, it is especially suitable for viaduct of urban railway transport lines. While the Chinese and foreign parties worked together on the design, SYSTRA transferred the technology, including the use of specific computing software, the calculation of special structures and the design of U-shaped viaducts in different types.

4.3 Large Scale Transfer Hubs Scheme Design and Comparison of Shanghai Urban Railway Transport (2001-2002)

SYSTRA proposed several design schemes for four large scale transfer hubs (transferring of three lines) in Shanghai urban railway transport network, and finished the further design for the selected schemes by arranging reasonably the plane and space of the station and adjusting the alignment partially for purpose of saving investment, facilitating construction and facilitating passengers.

4.4 Technical Consultation on Elevated Continuous Beam Structure Design of Passenger Dedicated Railway Lines for Chinese Ministry of Railway (2002-2003)

4.5 Planning and Design on Integration between Railway Transport and Bus Lines along the Line M8 of Shanghai Urban Railway Transport (2003)

SYSTRA was entrusted by the client to study the integration between railway transport and bus lines along Shanghai urban railway transport line M8, so as to optimize the organization of transport connection in each station, to establish a public transport mode which is dominated by railway transport and supplemented by bus lines. It can effectively relieve traffic pressure and reduce pollution, optimize urban space and increase urban vitality.

4.6 Technical consultation on the Elevated Structure Design of Shanghai Urban Railway Transport Line R3 (2003)

During the pre-feasibility study and engineering feasibility study of the R3 line in Shanghai, SYSTRA recommended the internationally service proven U-shaped viaduct technology to the R3 line in Shanghai, provided the analysis and comparison between the U-shaped viaduct of railway transport and the traditional viaduct, and conducted the feasibility study of the U-shaped viaduct of the line R3.

4.7 Elevated Structure Design of the Southern Section of Shanghai Railway Transport Line 8 (2007)

In the elevated structure design of the southern section of Shanghai Railway Transport Line 8, SYSTRA was entrusted by the client to optimize the preliminary design and carry out the construction drawing design of the entire elevated structure of the southern section of Line 8. The design was tested in full scale in Shanghai and was a complete success. In order to ensure the quality of the works, SYSTRA was also entrusted by the client to participate in the construction supervision and consulting work.

4.8 Pre-phase Research and Design Optimization of the Viaduct on the Southern Section of Shanghai Railway Transport Line 11

By virtue of the unique u-shaped viaduct technology, SYSTRA is entrusted by the client to provide consulting services for the pre-phase optimization research and general design of the viaduct on the southern section of Shanghai railway transport Line 11.

4.9 Joint Design of Elevated Structure of Shanghai Urban Transport Line 11 (2009-2010)

SYSTRA was responsible for the design of part of the elevated structure, and designed the standard span of small U with three different spans(25m, 30m, 35m). Design content includes: column, pier cap and superstructure with the design depth of construction drawing.

4.10 Joint Design of Elevated Structure of Shanghai Disneyland Park Line (2012-2013)

SYSTRA has designed three standard U-beam structures (spans 25m, 30m and 35m) for the Disneyland Park line, including elevated columns and pier cap, with the design depth of construction drawing.

4.11 Elevated Structure Design of Shanghai Urban Transport Line 8 Phase III (2012-2013)

Based on the characteristics of this project, SYSTRA participated in the research and formulation of technical standards in the preliminary design stage, and then completed the preliminary design document of U-beam standard structure (including column and standard pier cap), provided technical support during the test beam working stage. In the construction drawing stage, SYSTRA completed the standard structural design of U-shaped beam with three different spans (25-35m) by reaching the design depth of the construction drawing. SYSTRA also provided design coordination and other services in the construction stage.

4.12 Elevated structure design of Shanghai Urban Transport Line 17 (2013-2015)

The total length of the elevated section of the project is about 18.5km. SYSTRA has designed standard structures of U-shaped beams with three different spans (including columns and pier cap) with the design depth of construction drawing, and also provided the corresponding design coordination service during the construction stage.
