8.1 Manila LRT 1 Cavite Southern Extension

BYMCW, a Joint Venture comprising Alstom Transport and Bouygues Travaux Publics has been awarded a €450m ($501m) by The Light Rail Manila Consortium (LRMC). LRMC is a joint venture company comprising Metro Pacific Light Rail Corporation (part of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation), AC Infrastructure Holdings Corp (part of Ayala) and the Philippine Investment Alliance (managed by Macquarie Infrastructure Management Asia Pty Limited). LRMC is implementing the project with the support of the Philippines’ Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and the Department of Transportation.

In December 2017, SYSTRA has been awarded the Design Build (D&B) of Manila LRT 1 Cavite Southern Extension Line contracted by BYMCW _ NTP which included the alignment, a bridge, the elevated stations, the depot operation buildings, the traction substation, the intermodal facilities station, the traffic management plans and permanent road arrangement and a BIM model of the elevated stations (excluding guideway).

The Cavite Extension is 11.5km long with an elevated section of 10km and 2km at grade. The integrated Line 1 will be approximately 32.4km in length, and it is expected to benefit more than one million passengers daily.

SYSTRA Shanghai is contributing to the design of the line extension by realizing the review of the study criteria and the studies of the Rail Structure Interaction including the analysis of stresses in rails under moderate earthquake.

8.2 Hanoi Metro Line 3

As part of the development of these activities, SYSTRA Shanghai has been commissioned as a consultant for the design review part for the rolling stock of Line 3 of Hanoi Metro, Vietnam. These design review activities began in 2018 and continue to this day. Line 3 of the Hanoi subway is scheduled to be commissioned in 2023 and will have a length of 12.5km.

SYSTRA Shanghai team also takes part in factory tests at manufacturing sites in Belgium and Germany.

In addition to civil work’s scope of works, SYSTRA Shanghai experts are also working on the design review of PSD. SYSTRA's role is to ensure the technical review of the detailed design documents, the Interface and Integration documents, and the T & C documents concerning the PSDs.

The SYSTRA Shanghai team also takes part in factory trials at manufacturing sites in Singapore and Shanghai.
